Who we are

Pipeline Times is a gas and oil job board and news site. Our website address is https://www.pipelinetimes.com.

What we collect

Employer accounts and job postings. When you register or post a job, we collect what you enter: your name, email address, username, company name, company website, job details, location, pay, and how applicants should apply.

Job seekers. Browsing and searching jobs does not require an account. When you apply, you go to the employer’s own application link or email address. The employer, not Pipeline Times, receives and handles your application.

Comments. If comments are enabled and you leave one, we collect what you enter in the form plus your IP address and browser user agent to help detect spam.

Media. If you upload images, such as a company logo, avoid images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS).

Cookies

If you log in, we set cookies to keep you signed in and remember your screen choices. Login cookies last two days, or two weeks if you choose “Remember Me.” Logging out removes them. Comment cookies, if you choose to save your details, last one year.

Embedded content from other websites

Pages may include embedded content such as videos or maps. Embedded content behaves as if you visited the other website, and that site may collect data about you, use cookies, and track your interaction with it.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. Information in a published job listing (company, job details, location, pay, application link) is public by design. Our hosting provider stores site data on our behalf.

How long we keep your data

Account information is kept while your account is active. Job listings expire on their listed end date and are hidden from public view after that. Comments and their metadata are kept indefinitely so follow-up comments can be approved automatically.

Your rights over your data

If you have an account or have left comments, you can request an export of the personal data we hold about you, or ask us to erase it. This does not include data we must keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
